HOW I LOST MY VIRGINITY AS A CHURCH GIRL: Episode 12
EPISODE 12: THE TRIAL
Sunday came too fast.
I wore my longest skirt, my most “holy” blouse. No makeup, no jewelry. Just plain Adaeze—the way they liked it.
But no matter how I dressed, it wouldn’t change the fact that I was already guilty in their eyes.
As I walked into church, the whispers started.
“She’s the one.”
“That’s her.”
“I heard she sleeps around.”
I kept my head down and walked straight inside.
After service, the moment came.
One of the ushers tapped me. “Pastor is ready for you.”
My stomach tightened.
I followed them into the small church office.
Inside?
Pastor.
Four elders.
Two women from the “Women’s Fellowship.”
And Brother Samuel—looking too proud of himself.
I took a deep breath and sat down.
It was time to face my judgment.
THE INTERROGATION
Pastor cleared his throat. “Adaeze, do you know why you’re here?”
I nodded slowly.
“Good,” he said. “We have received some… disturbing reports about your recent activities. And as your spiritual leaders, it is our duty to guide you back before it’s too late.”
Before it’s too late?
I clenched my fists under the table.
One of the women, Mama Esther, shook her head. “Adaeze, we are disappointed. You used to be such a good girl. What happened?”
I stayed silent.
Brother Samuel leaned forward. “Do you deny that you’ve been spending time with a man? A known womanizer?”
I swallowed hard. “David is just my friend.”
They all exchanged looks.
Brother Samuel smiled. “That’s not what we heard.”
Pastor sighed. “Adaeze, we want the truth. Are you in a relationship with him?”
I hesitated.
Then I remembered David’s laugh.
The way he treated me like a joke.
The way Vanessa set me up.
And suddenly?
I felt tired.
Tired of trying to explain myself to people who had already decided my fate.
So I looked up and said, “Yes.”
Gasps filled the room.
One elder shook his head like I had confessed to murder.
Pastor sighed deeply. “Daughter, do you know what this means?”
I already knew.
Suspension. Church discipline.
A long, shameful punishment where I would be made an example.
But before I could answer, Brother Samuel smiled and said something that changed everything.
“But Pastor, there’s something else.”
I frowned. “What?”
He slowly brought out his phone.
Tapped the screen.
Then turned it to me.
A picture.
Of me.
Sitting in a restaurant. With Vanessa.
Talking. Smiling.
“Your so-called ‘friend’ sent this to me,” he said, shaking his head. “You said you’re just friends with David. But it seems you and his ex-girlfriend are quite close too. What exactly are you into, Adaeze?”
My blood ran cold.
Vanessa set me up.
Again.
And now?
They thought I was worse than just a girl with a boyfriend.
They thought I was into something… dangerous.
I opened my mouth to explain.
But I already knew.
It was too late.

The question is:
Will she fight back? Or will she break?
