The Prodigal Daughter – Episode 4
Episode 4 – A Taste of Danger
Sandra’s heart pounded as Mr. Leke’s grip on her waist tightened slightly. The dimly lit VIP section felt different from the loud, open club. It was quieter, more private—too private. A chill ran down her spine.
She glanced at Deborah, expecting her to say something, to reassure her. But Deborah only gave her a knowing look and sipped her drink.
“So, Sandra,” Mr. Leke’s voice was smooth, too smooth. “Tell me, do you like good things?”
Sandra forced a smile. “Of course.”
He chuckled, leaning closer. “That’s what I like to hear. You see, in this life, it’s the smart ones who enjoy the best things. The ones who know how to play the game.”
Sandra shifted uncomfortably. “What game?”
Deborah finally spoke. “Relax, babe. He’s just saying you don’t have to stress about life anymore. You’re with the right people now.”
Mr. Leke nodded. “Exactly. You’re a beautiful girl, Sandra. With the right connections, you can have anything you want—money, luxury, power.”
Sandra’s stomach tightened. She had dreamt of a better life, but something about this conversation felt off. “I just want to live well,” she said carefully.
He smiled. “And you will. But good things don’t come for free.”
Sandra’s breath hitched. She suddenly felt trapped. The music from the club seemed distant, like a warning siren she could barely hear.
Mr. Leke leaned in even closer, his voice a whisper now. “Let me take care of you, Sandra. You don’t have to worry about anything. Just… be mine.”
Sandra’s throat went dry. She turned to Deborah, expecting her to protest, to stop this. But Deborah only smirked and twirled the straw in her drink.
Panic gripped Sandra’s chest. This wasn’t what she had signed up for. This wasn’t freedom. It was something else entirely—something dangerous.
And she had just walked straight into it.
