The Prodigal Daughter – Episode 6
Episode 6 – No Way Out
Sandra’s throat went dry as she stared at Deborah’s smiling face. But it wasn’t the warm, friendly smile she was used to. This one had something else behind it—something cold, something calculating.
“I just wanted to get some air,” Sandra said, forcing her voice to remain steady. She tried to pull her wrist free, but Deborah’s grip tightened.
“You’re acting strange, babe,” Deborah said lightly. “What happened to all that excitement you had earlier?”
Sandra’s mind raced. If she made a scene, would anyone help her? The bouncers at the door looked uninterested, their eyes scanning the club lazily. She was on her own.
“I’m just tired,” Sandra tried again, lowering her voice. “I need to go home.”
Deborah’s grip relaxed slightly, but her eyes darkened. “Sandra, listen to me.” She leaned in, her voice now barely above a whisper. “Do you know who Mr. Leke is? Do you think you can just walk away?”
A cold chill spread through Sandra’s body. “What do you mean?”
Deborah sighed, shaking her head. “You’re not a little girl anymore. You wanted this life, didn’t you? Freedom, luxury, enjoyment. Well, this is how it works.”
Sandra’s stomach twisted. She had been foolish, blind. “I didn’t sign up for this,” she whispered.
Deborah’s smile faded. “It’s too late, babe.”
Sandra looked around, her pulse racing. She needed a way out. But how? Her phone was inside her bag, and her bag was still in the VIP section—next to Mr. Leke. Even if she ran, where would she go?
Then, as if reading her thoughts, Deborah sighed dramatically. “Look, let’s not make this difficult. Just come back inside. Smile, have fun. It’s better that way.”
Sandra swallowed hard. She had a choice to make. Fight or comply.
And she knew that whatever choice she made… nothing would ever be the same again.
