HOW I LOST MY VIRGINITY AS A CHURCH GIRL: Episode 13
I got you! We’re taking this story to another level!
EPISODE 13:
THE FALL FROM GRACE
The office was silent.
Too silent.
All eyes were on me, waiting.
Judging.
Brother Samuel smirked like he had won.
I clenched my fists under the table.
Vanessa.
That snake.
She wasn’t satisfied with messing up my heart—she wanted to destroy my entire life.
“Well?” Pastor’s voice cut through my thoughts.
I swallowed hard. “Sir, I can explain—”
“No need,” he interrupted. His voice was calm, but his face was not.
I had seen this look before.
The look of a man who had already made up his mind.
“Adaeze,” Pastor sighed, folding his hands. “You have been walking in the path of sin. And now, you have started keeping company with the wrong people. It is clear that you have lost your way.”
“Sir, it’s not what it looks like—”
“Enough!” Mama Esther snapped. “You lied to us! First, you said David was just a friend, now you’ve admitted to dating him. And now this? What else are you hiding?”
I felt a sharp sting in my chest.
“Young lady,” one of the elders said, shaking his head, “as leaders, we have a duty to protect this church. We cannot let this kind of behavior go unchecked.”
I looked at Brother Samuel.
He was smiling. Enjoying this.
Enjoying my pain.
Pastor finally spoke again. “Adaeze, from this moment, you are hereby suspended from every church activity. No choir, no youth fellowship, no workers’ meetings.”
Tears burned my eyes.
“You will also sit at the back of the church for the next three months,” he continued. “During this time, you must come for weekly counseling and prove to us that you are ready to walk in righteousness again.”
My heart shattered.
Suspension.
That was the worst punishment for someone like me.
It meant I would be humiliated every Sunday.
People would look at me and whisper.
Point fingers.
I would become the church disgrace.
I blinked rapidly, trying to stop the tears.
But then, Pastor added something that broke me completely.
“And if we find out that you are still associating with that boy, David…”
He paused.
“You will be excommunicated.”
Excommunicated.
Thrown out of church.
Completely cut off.
At that moment, I felt my whole world collapse.
THE WALK OF SHAME
When I stepped out of the office, they were already waiting.
The gossipers.
The church “sisters.”
The ones who pretended to be holy but loved other people’s downfall.
As I walked past, I heard them.
“She has been suspended.”
“I knew it! She was always pretending to be a good girl.”
“Imagine! A whole Adaeze! Ah, men will disgrace you.”
I kept my head down.
I didn’t cry.
I didn’t show weakness.
But inside?
I was dying.
I reached the back of the church and sat down.
Alone.
Rejected.
And for the first time in my life, I asked myself a question I never thought I would ask.
“Is this church even my home anymore?”
THE CALL I SHOULDN’T HAVE PICKED
That night, I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling.
My mind was a mess.
The church had turned its back on me.
David had probably lied to me all along.
And Vanessa? She had played me like a fool.
I was lost.
Broken.
Then, my phone rang.
I checked the screen.
David.
I hesitated.
Then, with a deep breath, I picked up.
“Hey,” his voice was soft. “I heard what happened.”
Tears filled my eyes. “Did you?”
“Yeah.” He sighed. “I’m sorry, Ada. This is all my fault.”
I wanted to argue.
But he was right.
“You must hate me now,” he added.
I closed my eyes. Did I?
Hate him?
Or did I just hate what he had done to me?
“I don’t know,” I whispered.
He exhaled. “Can I see you?”
My heart skipped. “David, I—”
“Please, Adaeze,” he cut in. “I just want to talk. Please.”
A war started in my head.
Go.
Don’t go.
He’s bad for you.
But… you need someone right now.
I was weak.
I was tired.
And I needed comfort.
So against my better judgment, I said yes.
And that… was the beginning of the biggest mistake of my life.
