“I produced all Mercy Chinwo’s hit songs , worked day and night but till today I’ve never got my royalties.
A music producer by the name Dr. Roy was an invited guest at the popular YouTube podcast named Honest Brunch. Dr. Roy revealed that he was the one that produced all Mercy Chinwo’s songs and he has not received a dime from royalties on those songs ever since the songs began to blew.
In his words in the video he said:
My father was sick and dying and I called Mercy to assist me and all she did was offer me words of encouragement” Dr Roy cries rivers of tears as Mercy Chinwo plays Eddy Kenzo on him.
Watching a grown up man cry on camera hurts . This guy produced “ Excess love “ and many other hit songs for Mercy Chinwo and till today he hasn’t received a dollar . The song has millions of views on YouTube and millions of streams on streaming platforms but he has nothing .
No matter how much you trust someone,sign an agreement. No matter how nice they sound

Producers are usually hired and paid for their service. In that case, why do they still ask for royalties? If a producer also composed a part of the song, that is a different story.
Nobody would have know that you are the hidden man behind mercy chioma songs if all this has not happened. Take it in good faith your time has also come for the world to recognise you and your hard work
I am currently starting to record my music, the producer charges per song for production.Later on when I have made it he is going to turn around and cry foul and everyone will be by his side and I will look like I am evil🤔

When you say he haven’t receive his royalties it sounds more like 👍 it’s agreement but in any case they did not sign any agreement mercy owe him nothing .Yet is very bad if she can’t appreciate someone who willing working with you and even trust you enough not to sign an agreement,C’mon But we also need to hear from mercy before any conclusion..Always appreciate your workers even the once you pay
